A lot of the industry is still surprised to find the Rock Fall womens range, despite it being in the industry for such a long time. Horror stories of young women on site having to wear 2 or 3 pairs of socks are still prevalent today.
Our Rock Fall womens range is now more than 10 years old and alongside having shoes, boots and slip on office styles also includes a range of specialist features such as being fully non-metallic, ESD rating to less than 35megaohm or being 100% waterproof tested for a minimum of 8 hours.
But what is Womens Fit?
For us to class a style as Womens Fit, it means we have constructed it using:
- a narrower upper design
- a specific Womens Fit sole unit
And most importantly,
- a specific Womens Fit last (or shoe mould)
These lasts are designed to accommodate the difference in women’s foot shape, this includes the heel to forefoot ratio as women have a narrower heel in relation to their forefoot.
A gender specific last improves the fit, comfort and durability of the footwear in the Rock Fall Womens Range.
For this reason we continue to enhance our Womens Fit offering, recently adding the RF951 Tanzanite and RF952 Ruby.
In addition, we supplement this with an enormous range of styles manufactured from a size 3 on a standard fit, due to the wide variety of industries that require specialist footwear.
Our advice to everyone is that everyone's feet are different and it is beneficial for all wearers to have the opportunity to try on footwear. We encourage end-users and distributors to set up robust and sustainable supply chain agreements to make this viable.
