Rock Fall have been recognised with three separate awards at the recent Director-E Professional Clothing Awards. The PCAs have a reputation as being one of the toughest and most competitive awards ceremonies in the Sector.
Held at the Intercontinental Hotel at the O2 in London, the awards brought together the leaders of the Professional Clothing industry, the night included a fashion show and featured designs from the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Jeff Banks.
The second generation family business that manufacture a wide range of safety footwear for various industries, have traded from their Derbyshire headquarters for 30 years. On the night, they competed with internationally recognisable brands for the awards.
Rock Fall were honoured to receive the following in the Manufacturers Awards category.
Best Catalogue, in a popular and highly contested category, the 2016-2017 edition of their catalogue was selected as the winner; the judges drew attention to how positively the catalogue has been received by the industry, distributors and wearers. They were impressed by the clarity of the design and how technical products had been displayed to make them easy to understand.
Best Innovation in Footwear, the Rock Fall Rhodium Chemical Resistant Safety Boot was selected as the 2017 winner. Again, Rock Fall competed against the largest brands in the industry to win the award. Their submission was chosen due to the development of new materials and technologies that offered enhanced chemical resistance, increasing the length of time a person has to remove the footwear should a spill or incident occur, assisting in the reduction of accidents and injuries.
The night wasn’t over as directors Richard, 27 and Matthew, 24 were shortlisted for the main award, Man of the Year. They were shortlisted to a public vote against Jeff Banks, Founder of Incorporatewear and Roger Startin, Joint MD of Bristol Uniforms, two individuals with over 75 years in the industry between them.
In a true underdog story, Richard and Matthew were announced as the winners of the accolade, winning a public vote, chosen by the industry.
